Algo Grande Copper Identifies New Porphyry Centers at Adelita Project
Algo Grande Copper has identified three deep porphyry-related intrusive centers at its Adelita project in Mexico based on UAV magnetic survey results. The company's Phase II drilling program is also progressing ahead of schedule.
Algo Grande Copper Corp. has identified three deep, porphyry-related intrusive centers at its 100%-owned Adelita Project in Sonora, Mexico. The findings are based on a high-resolution Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) magnetic survey and subsequent interpretation.
The survey delineated a deep magnetic source beneath Cerro Grande Central, named Mezquital. A new target, La Corona, located south of the Cerro Grande skarn, suggests a multi-center intrusive system underlies the Adelita district. The resolution of the Cerro Grande skarn corridor was significantly improved, revealing multiple discrete, stacked magnetic bodies.
The company also reported that its Phase II diamond drilling program is ahead of schedule. The first of 21 planned holes, totaling approximately 8,000 meters, has been completed, and the second hole is underway. A second drill rig is expected to arrive soon, which should accelerate the program's completion. Initial assay results are anticipated in August 2026.
The improved spatial resolution from the UAV magnetic survey has provided a clearer understanding of the project's geology, validating structural targeting models and identifying previously unresolved potential mineralized zones for future exploration.
