Algo Grande Copper Reports Enhanced Skarn Properties, Plans Gravity Survey

Algo Grande Copper Corp. has announced updated results from rock property testing on drill core samples from its Adelita Project in Sonora, Mexico. Laboratory analyses indicate that mineralized skarn at the Cerro Grande prospect is denser and significantly more chargeable than surrounding host rocks and unmineralized skarn. Consequently, the company will commence a ground gravity survey on October 22, 2026, conducted by GEOTEM Ingeniería S.A. de C.V.

The survey will cover approximately 1,296 stations across the Mezquital, Cerro Grande, Cerro Potrero, and Las Trancas areas. The data gathered will be integrated with the company's existing magnetic, IP/MT, and petrophysical datasets, along with drilling information. This combined geophysical approach aims to test existing targets along a seven-kilometer corridor, which features over ten structural intersections showing magnetic signatures similar to the Cerro Grande skarn discovery, and to generate new exploration targets.

Previous drilling, specifically hole AG-CG-PH2-003, intersected fault-hosted skarn with visible copper sulfides logged from 624.45 to 634.50 meters in a target separate from Cerro Grande. Assay results for this intersection are pending. These findings suggest that gravity anomalies may indicate the presence of skarn, while subsequent IP surveys and drilling are required to differentiate between mineralized and unmineralized zones.

Petrophysical testing revealed that mineralized skarn has an average density of 3.76 g/cm³, compared to host rocks averaging 2.92 g/cm³ or less. Furthermore, the chargeability of mineralized skarn ranges from 74 to 128 ms, significantly higher than the 3 to 8 ms measured for unmineralized skarn. These distinct physical properties provide Algo Grande Copper with enhanced tools for targeting and defining potential mineral deposits.
