Algo Grande Copper reports high-grade copper mineralization in Mexico

Algo Grande Copper announced assay results from its Phase II diamond drilling program at the Cerro Grande skarn discovery, part of the Adelita Project in Sonora, Mexico. Hole AG-CG-PH2-002 intersected 30.23 metres grading 1.5% copper-equivalent (CuEq) from 146.70 metres. This interval includes a 3.55-metre high-grade core grading 9.4% CuEq and a 1.20-metre section grading 15.8% CuEq.

The results confirm the continuity of high-grade, multi-horizon skarn mineralization previously reported. The intersection was achieved 100 metres vertically from historical finds, extending the known mineralized footprint.

Beyond copper, the high-grade core also contains locally anomalous zinc, up to 1.88% within the 1.20-metre interval. Mineralization was observed within skarn and, for the first time in this program, within an andesitic porphyry intrusion. The mineral assemblage includes bornite, chalcopyrite, and chalcocite, suggesting proximity to the core of the mineralizing system.

Hole AG-CG-PH2-002 was completed at a final depth of 661.80 metres. Assays are still pending for core below 179 metres, where an additional 40.40 metres of visually mineralized core was logged. The company anticipates further results soon and believes the system's scale is still being defined.
