Algo Grande Copper secures five-year surface access for Adelita project
Algo Grande Copper has signed a five-year surface access agreement with Ejido Palos Chinos for its Adelita copper project in Mexico. The deal ensures continuity for exploration activities.

Algo Grande Copper Corp. has secured five years of surface access at its Adelita copper project in Sonora, Mexico. The company entered into a temporary occupation agreement with the local Ejido Palos Chinos community on September 29, 2026. The agreement covers approximately 1,796 hectares and is valid until September 2031.
The agreement, approved by the Ejido's general assembly on September 22, 2026, in accordance with Mexican agrarian law, permits Algo Grande to proceed with its extensive exploration program. This includes geological mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys, and drilling. The arrangement ensures continuity for the company's Phase II exploration program, succeeding a previous similar agreement.
Algo Grande CEO Enrico Gay emphasized that the five-year agreement provides certainty for long-term planning and underscores the company's commitment to transparent operations and respecting local rights. The company plans to continue its engagement with the Ejido through a community engagement program and a sustainability roadmap.
The Adelita project is a district-scale property with potential for significant copper, silver, and gold mineralization. The company has already identified a high-grade skarn discovery at Cerro Grande, with geophysical data suggesting a potential porphyry system at depth.
