Alibaba's Qwen AI to be Integrated into Apple Intelligence in China

Alibaba's Qwen AI model is set to be integrated into Apple's new Apple Intelligence operating system, extending AI capabilities to users in China. The integration will cover Apple devices running iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.

Users will be able to access Qwen's functionalities, including text and image understanding, as well as content generation, directly on Apple devices without switching between applications.

China's Cyberspace Administration announced today the filing of seven on-device generative AI services for smartphones. This list includes Apple Intelligence, Huawei's Xiaoyi AI model, and OPPO's AndesGPT AI model.
