AliExpress and Tmall Launch Global Growth Plan for New AI Hardware Brands

AliExpress and Tmall are launching a "Global Growth Plan for Chinese Brands" to support international expansion, focusing on AI hardware and established domestic brands.

19 October 2026

AliExpress, along with its sister platform Tmall, has launched the "Global Growth Plan for Chinese Brands" in Shenzhen, aiming to support the international expansion of domestic companies. The event was attended by over 15,000 merchants, with the program specifically targeting established brands, emerging AI hardware brands, and quality factory brands.

As part of the initiative, AliExpress and Tmall will establish a dedicated service team to provide seven types of operational support, including brand protection, marketing products, digital advertising, and customer asset management. Over ten brands, including Midea, Haier, and TCL, have already joined the plan, which aims to offer new growth avenues for 500 leading brands.

With a focus on AI hardware, AliExpress intends to make seed investments in promising new brands, complemented by Brand+ and Tmall's operational support. Sales in the AI hardware category on AliExpress have seen significant growth, increasing by over 100% year-to-date through July, positioning the platform as a key channel for this sector.

The plan also offers one-stop service solutions for quality factory brands, with the objective of doubling their growth in international markets. This model allows factories to concentrate on production and supply, while the platform handles the complexities of overseas operations.

AliExpress also announced ambitious three-year growth targets, projecting a 50% annual increase in the number of brands and brand GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume). Growth will be supported by investments in global logistics, localized traffic, brand marketing, compliance, and AI capabilities, with an expansion strategy targeting new markets in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
