Alight and Autoliv Open 101 MWp Eurajoki Solar Park

Solar developer Alight and automotive safety company Autoliv have inaugurated the 101 MWp Eurajoki Solar Park, one of Finland's largest operational solar facilities. The park is located in the municipality of Eurajoki in the Satakunta region on Finland's west coast.
Alight built, owns, and operates the solar park, which supplies new renewable electricity to the grid under a long-term virtual power purchase agreement (PPA) with Autoliv. The agreement supports Autoliv's transition to renewable electricity across the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).
The Eurajoki solar park has a capacity of 101 megawatt-peak (MWp). It is expected to generate a significant amount of renewable electricity annually, contributing to emissions reductions. This investment aligns with Autoliv's broader sustainability objectives.
The expansion of solar energy in Finland has seen steady growth as companies seek to reduce their environmental footprint and secure energy supply and costs.
