Alignment Healthcare Faces Investigation Over Allegations of Financial Misrepresentation
Law firm BFA Law is investigating Alignment Healthcare for alleged securities fraud involving claims that the company inflated earnings to boost executive compensation.

Securities law firm Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP (BFA Law) has launched an investigation into Alignment Healthcare, Inc. following reports of potential securities fraud. The investigation centers on allegations that the company improperly reported its adjusted EBITDA to justify higher executive compensation packages.
The allegations stem from a whistleblower lawsuit filed by the company’s former chief technology officer. According to the filing, Alignment Healthcare allegedly misclassified $8 million to $10 million in routine operating expenses as capital expenditures. This accounting shift reportedly allowed the firm to report a positive adjusted EBITDA of $1.3 million for 2024, despite an actual underlying loss estimated between $7 million and $9 million.
Following these reports on July 8, 2026, Alignment Healthcare shares experienced a 16.7% decline. BFA Law is currently evaluating legal options for investors who suffered losses as a result of the potential misrepresentations.
