Alipay to Launch AI Payment Agent to Enhance Transaction Trust
Alipay is launching an AI-powered wallet agent designed to manage AI-driven payments and increase user trust in digital transactions.

Payment platform Alipay plans to introduce an AI-powered wallet agent aimed at helping users manage AI-driven payments, signaling a strategic shift towards enhancing trust in digital transactions. The announcement was made at the 2026 Bund Summit.
The new agent is set to support various payment methods, including Vibe Pay, Skill Pay, and Machine Pay, alongside e-commerce functionalities such as recurring purchases and assisted buying or booking. It will be built upon Ant Group’s APASS trust infrastructure and KYA framework.
These underlying technologies are designed to cover an agent's identity, intent, authorization, and behavior, establishing a framework for secure and verifiable AI-driven payments. Alipay has also outlined its broader AI Pay and agent-payment infrastructure, suggesting a comprehensive approach to integrating AI into its financial services.
This initiative reflects Alipay's focus on moving beyond simply facilitating transactions to ensuring the reliability and security of payments in an increasingly AI-integrated digital economy.
