Alkagesta Publishes 2025 ESG Report
Commodity trading company Alkagesta has released its 2025 ESG Report, detailing environmental, social, and governance performance across its global operations.

Malta, 2026 – Alkagesta, a global commodity trading company, has published its 2025 ESG Report, outlining its commitments and progress in environmental, social, and governance areas across its worldwide operations.
The report highlights the company's environmental initiatives, including a corporate emissions assessment recording 16,356 tCO₂e for Scope 1 and 37 tCO₂e for Scope 2. Used cooking oil (UCO) recycling operations saw significant growth, with 1,856,631 kg collected (up 11.4% year-on-year) and 1,781,520 kg processed (up 12.7%). The company also launched 0.1% ULSFO trading in the Mediterranean.
Socially, Alkagesta strengthened community ties through partnerships and completed inclusive leadership training for all managers. Governance improvements included 380 vessel assessments, 284 KYC screenings, and the introduction of a new ESG scorecard tracking diversity, compliance, and transparency.
In 2026, Alkagesta continued its investments by backing Clean Caspian, an environmental research initiative developing chemical technologies for oil spill remediation. The company also sponsored Malta's U16 Women's National Basketball Team, which won the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket Division C title.
