All-New Electric smart #2 Makes World Debut in Paris
Smart unveiled its all-new, all-electric smart #2 at the Paris Motor Show today. Production of the vehicle has commenced, marking the return of the iconic two-seater for a new electric era.
Paris, France – October 13, 2026 – Smart today celebrated the world premiere of the all-new smart #2 at the Paris Motor Show. The debut marks the return of the brand's iconic two-seater vehicle for a new electric era, with production of the car already underway.
Designed by the global Mercedes-Benz design team, the smart #2 aims to bring the brand's core design philosophy—Love, Purity, Surprise—into a contemporary form. Measuring 2,746 mm in length, the vehicle maximizes usable space within its compact dimensions. A rear-mounted 60 kW electric motor delivers 130 Nm of torque.
For the European market, the smart #2 will feature a 35.8 kWh LFP battery, targeting a WLTP combined range of 290 km. With 65 kW DC fast charging capability, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. The car boasts a turning circle of just 6.95 meters, facilitating effortless maneuverability in narrow city streets.
Smart also introduced the exclusive smart #2 Couture Edition in Paris, limited to 999 units for Europe and 999 for China. This edition combines a matte white exterior finish with platinum gold accents and unique wheels, highlighting the brand's commitment to urban mobility innovation and design.
