Allegiant partners with UNLV for flight attendant service training
Allegiant has launched a custom customer experience program in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to standardize service training for its flight crews.

Allegiant is rolling out a new training curriculum for its flight attendants developed in partnership with the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The program focuses on hospitality fundamentals, including communication strategies, emotional intelligence, and service consistency across the carrier’s network.
The two-day training course is slated to begin in November, starting with East Coast flight attendant bases. The airline plans to expand the initiative to all bases by the spring of 2027. According to Allegiant, the program aims to provide a unified service framework as the airline integrates operations following its acquisition of Sun Country Airlines earlier this year.
"Continuous learning is essential in a dynamic industry like aviation," said Tyler Hollingsworth, Allegiant’s Chief Operating Officer. The collaboration marks a rare crossover between aviation operations and academic hospitality education, reflecting an industry-wide push to improve passenger satisfaction scores.
This training initiative arrives as Allegiant scales its operations. The company now operates a combined fleet of nearly 200 aircraft serving approximately 175 cities.
