Allianz Trade has published its inaugural Sustainability Handbook, outlining the company's expertise, passion, and aspirations in the realm of sustainability. This release reinforces the company's response to the European Union's new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which mandates that large companies disclose their sustainability efforts transparently.
The handbook synthesizes Allianz Trade's sustainability roadmap, achievements, and future goals. The company has strengthened its commitment to sustainability and is actively working to advance it, including by pursuing net-zero emissions within its portfolio by 2050.
Allianz Trade's strategy is built upon four pillars: reducing the environmental impact of its operations, driving decarbonization through its portfolio, creating value for customers via sustainable solutions, and enhancing governance by integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into credit assessments.
As part of its reporting requirements and to increase transparency, Allianz Trade is also incorporating sustainability considerations into its credit risk assessments. The company emphasizes knowledge sharing and employee training on sustainability topics, aligning with Allianz Group's broader strategic guidelines.
