Allstacks Gives Product Managers Direct Access to Code Insights
Allstacks has released a new capability for its Product Studio that provides product managers with direct insights into source code, aiming to improve development planning.

Raleigh, N.C. – Allstacks, a provider of product and engineering intelligence, has announced a new capability for its Product Studio called Allstacks Code Engine (ACE). This feature provides product managers with direct access to information about their product's source code, designed to enhance planning and development efficiency.
ACE indexes all connected code repositories, enabling product managers to assess the feasibility of work, estimate effort, and ground specifications in actual code. The company likens the functionality to having a senior engineer review all plans before they are handed off to development.
Traditionally, product managers have had limited time and resources to fully understand codebases, often relying on engineering partners for feasibility assessments. This reliance can lead to inefficiencies and rework. ACE aims to address this by providing product teams with comprehensive knowledge of how code operates.
The tool allows product managers to evaluate feature feasibility before committing, size efforts against real code, ensure specifications align with existing patterns, and identify potential duplications. It also helps validate that shipped code matches product intent and speeds up onboarding for new products.
Hersh Tapadia, co-founder and CEO of Allstacks, highlighted that with AI accelerating development, product managers need code-related knowledge earlier in the process. ACE delivers this insight directly within their workflow, ensuring plans are based on code reality.
