Allstate Accuses Broadcom of Audits Following Contract Terminations
Allstate Insurance Company has accused Broadcom of conducting haphazard audits following the firm's decision not to renew contracts with VMware and CA Technologies.

Allstate Insurance Company has accused Broadcom of initiating audits against it in response to Allstate's decision to terminate its contracts with VMware and CA Technologies. These allegations surfaced in relation to a lawsuit filed by VMware against Allstate in December 2025.
Broadcom, which acquired both VMware and CA Technologies, claims in its complaint that Allstate failed to comply with license audit requirements stipulated in their agreement. The company asserts that such compliance is mandatory under the contract.
However, in a filing on June 12, Allstate suggested that Broadcom's audits were a retaliatory measure. The insurance firm contends that the audits were initiated specifically because Allstate chose to end its business dealings with VMware and CA Technologies.
The dispute highlights potential friction points between software vendors following acquisitions and their enterprise clients, particularly concerning contractual obligations and audit procedures.
