Alpha Wave Ventures Exits Aye Finance Via ₹323 Cr Bulk Deals
Global investment firm Alpha Wave has sold its entire stake in MSME-focused NBFC Aye Finance for approximately ₹323 crore through bulk deals on the stock exchange. This marks a full exit for the investor.

Global investment firm Alpha Wave Ventures has divested its complete 7.78% stake in Aye Finance, an Indian non-banking financial company (NBFC) specializing in loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The stake sale, amounting to approximately ₹323 crore, was executed through multiple bulk deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The transactions involved the sale of nearly 1.92 crore shares, with weighted average prices around ₹168 per share. This exit comes after Alpha Wave's initial investment during Aye Finance's public listing in February, where the firm held an 11.2% stake. Aye Finance's stock has seen a recovery since its flat listing, gaining nearly 42% in value.
Aye Finance reported a significant year-on-year net profit increase of 144% to ₹74.5 crore for the first quarter of FY27, with revenue from operations rising 18%. The NBFC manages assets under management (AUM) of ₹7,324 crore and maintains a strong capital adequacy ratio of 42.38%.
This exit is part of a broader trend for Alpha Wave, which has recently completed other partial or full exits from its portfolio companies. The firm is reportedly also looking to divest stakes in other investments, including eyewear retailer Lenskart and logistics company Delhivery, aiming to realize substantial returns.
