AlphaESS Launches AI Energy Agent AlphaQ in Benelux
AlphaESS has introduced AlphaQ, an AI-powered energy management agent for residential systems, to the European market, starting with the Benelux region. The launch includes partner events in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Energy storage solutions provider AlphaESS has launched AlphaQ, an artificial intelligence-based energy agent designed for residential energy systems, in the European market. The initial rollout targets the Benelux region, with partner events scheduled in Belgium on September 16 and in the Netherlands on September 22.
AlphaQ aims to provide homeowners with a single point of interaction for their energy systems. It consolidates energy consumption data, tariff-aware energy management, and service support. The AI capabilities are designed to forecast electricity prices, solar generation, and household demand to optimize battery charging and discharging, with the energy plan updating every 15 minutes.
For service, AlphaQ utilizes fault logs and system operational data for diagnostics, assisting installers in identifying issues and determining next steps more efficiently. Alongside AlphaQ, AlphaESS is expanding its residential energy offerings in Benelux with the VitaPower 3600 AC, a modular battery system with 4–16 kWh storage capacity and 3.68 kW bidirectional power transfer.
Jeff Noelmans, Managing Director of AlphaESS Netherlands, highlighted the significance of the AI integration. "AlphaQ is the next step in this partnership. AI is not just a buzzword here, but a concrete tool to automatically select the best energy scenario for each customer," Noelmans stated. The company noted its market presence in the residential battery energy storage systems sector in the Netherlands and Belgium during the first half of 2026.
