Alps Dx to Launch Filtration and Capping Device for Oral Fluid Samples at ADLM 2026
Alps Dx is introducing Xpressor™ by Alps Dx, a new filtration and capping solution designed to improve the quality and preanalytical efficiency of oral fluid samples. The device aims to reduce manual handling and contamination risks in laboratories.

Richmond, Virginia – Alps Dx announced it will debut Xpressor™ by Alps Dx at the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) 2026 Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo. Developed in response to challenges in forensic and clinical toxicology labs, the device is designed to make oral fluid sample preparation faster, safer, and more consistent.
Current manual methods, such as squeezing swabs and frequent glove changes, are time-consuming and increase the risk of sample contamination. Xpressor™ addresses these issues by integrating filtration and capping into a single device that attaches to the original collection tube, aiming to improve sample clarity and reduce errors.
Laboratories using Xpressor™ have reported fewer manual handling steps, reduced contamination risk, and improved traceability. The time spent processing each sample is expected to decrease, along with the use of consumables, contributing to cost control and sustainability goals.
Xpressor™ is part of Alps Dx's expanding portfolio for oral fluid testing. The company will also showcase its Atelier™ by Alps Dx automated preanalytical processing platform at ADLM 2026.
