Alstom Appoints New Country Managing Director for the Netherlands

Rail transport manufacturer Alstom has appointed Kees van der Snel as its new Country Managing Director for the Netherlands. The appointment is effective March 1, 2026.

Van der Snel brings 32 years of experience from various industrial sectors, including seven years at Alstom and eight years at Bombardier. Throughout his career, he has held key positions in engineering, operations, project management, product management, sales, and tendering across multiple countries.

In his new capacity, Van der Snel will be responsible for leading and developing Alstom's operations within the Netherlands. He aims to further strengthen the company's market position and contribute to the country's growing mobility needs.

Andrew DeLeone, Europe Region President at Alstom, welcomed the appointment, highlighting Van der Snel's extensive operational and strategic experience. DeLeone noted that the Netherlands remains a promising market with significant growth potential for Alstom.
