Alstom celebrates 70 years at Sesto San Giovanni plant, announces 100 new roles in Italy
Mobility firm Alstom marks 70 years of its Sesto San Giovanni facility in Italy, announcing plans to create 100 new positions within its Business Services unit.

Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its historic plant in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy. The facility serves as a center of excellence for the production, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of subsystems and components for rolling stock.
As part of the anniversary, Alstom announced a significant recruitment drive, aiming to fill 100 new positions by March 2026. These roles will focus on skilled technicians in railway maintenance, particularly those with electrical and electro-mechanical expertise, as well as engineering graduates in mechanical, electronic, and management fields.
The company also confirmed ongoing investments totaling 25 million euros for its Business Services in Italy over the next four years. These funds are intended to strengthen industrial operations and expand production capacity.
An exhibition titled "70 years of traction towards the future. From mechanical innovation to intelligent mobility" was inaugurated to commemorate the milestone and highlight the facility's heritage and future outlook. The event was attended by institutional representatives, clients, and partners.
