Alstom extends Greater Anglia train services contract for nearly €1 billion
Alstom has secured a 15-year contract extension with Greater Anglia in the UK for the maintenance of its 133 Class 720 Aventra trains. The deal is valued at approximately €947 million.

Alstom, a global leader in mobility solutions, has extended its Train Services Agreement (TSA) with Greater Anglia in the United Kingdom for the operator's fleet of 133 Class 720 Aventra trains. The contract extension spans 15 years and is valued at approximately €947 million (around £800 million).
The agreement ensures continued maintenance and operational support for the Aventra trains, which serve routes in East of England and Greater London. Greater Anglia has reported this fleet as one of the most reliable modern commuter train fleets in the UK since its introduction in 2016.
The extension provides a long-term framework for Alstom and Greater Anglia, and will also support collaboration with the future Great British Railways (GBR) organization. It aims to ensure continued high performance and reliability for passengers.
Alstom will provide spare parts and technical support throughout the contract period. The company stated the extended agreement will support the delivery of an even better service for customers and communities, reinforcing Alstom's position in the UK rail market.
