Alstom Joins Consortium for Ireland's MetroLink Project
Alstom and four other companies have formed a consortium to bid for the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of Dublin's MetroLink metro project.

Alstom Forms Consortium for Dublin's MetroLink Project Bid
Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FCC, John Laing, Meridiam, and RATP. This agreement establishes a consortium that will jointly bid for the contract to design, construct, finance, operate, and maintain Dublin's new MetroLink metro.
The consortium members are now preparing for the pre-qualification and bidding phases. MetroLink is a significant infrastructure project for Ireland, intended to enhance connectivity, reduce congestion, and improve sustainability across the Greater Dublin Area. The fully automated, driverless metro system will link major transport hubs and key destinations, providing the first direct rail link between Dublin city centre and the airport.
The partnership brings together diverse expertise. Alstom will contribute its extensive experience in metro systems and railway technology, while FCC will lead on civil engineering aspects of large-scale infrastructure. RATP Dev will provide operational and maintenance know-how, and Meridiam along with John Laing will bring financial acumen and long-term investment capabilities.
The consortium's formation was announced on September 2, 2025. The partners believe their combined technical expertise, operational knowledge, and financial strength will ensure the delivery of a world-class metro system for the benefit of the Dublin region for generations to come.
