Alstom presented Ostlänken project model in Sweden
Alstom hosted a customer event in Sweden focusing on the Ostlänken railway section, part of a European transport corridor. The event discussed models for the project's construction and operation.

In October 2007, Alstom organized a seminar in Sweden focused on the Ostlänken project, the first section of the so-called European Corridor. This approximately 150 km railway section aims to connect the cities of Norrköping and Linköping to Stockholm within one hour.
The seminar also addressed broader transport networks, such as the Trans-Europe Network, intended to link Stockholm with Malmö/Copenhagen and subsequently Gothenburg. Lena Ek, a Swedish representative for the European Parliament, emphasized the importance of modern transport growth for the region.
Alstom presented a potential scheme for the Ostlänken project, where the company would participate in its construction as part of a consortium. Oscar Leopoldson from Arlanda Express, a rail link supplied by Alstom, shared experiences with BOT (Build Operate Transfer) service contracts. These contracts allow the state to change operators once the project is transferred back.
Alstom is a global manufacturer of rail transport equipment and services. The Ostlänken project represented Alstom's efforts to engage in significant infrastructure developments across Europe and provide comprehensive solutions for transport network expansion.
