Alstom report details Sweden impact, supporting over 3,000 jobs

Mobility solutions provider Alstom has published its first impact report for Sweden, highlighting the company's substantial contribution to the Swedish economy and sustainable transportation. The report indicates that Alstom supports over 3,000 jobs in the country, including more than 2,000 direct employees.

The company estimates its contribution to Sweden's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached SEK 1.4 billion during the fiscal year 2024–2025. This economic footprint is generated through Alstom's supply chains, industrial investments, and support for local businesses across Sweden.

The report also emphasizes Alstom's role in the transition to decarbonized transport. The company is developing energy-efficient rail solutions and advancing the digitalization of rail operations to enhance safety and capacity. Additionally, Alstom is investing in new technologies in Sweden aimed at promoting more resource-efficient railway operations in the Nordic region.

Alstom's community engagement in Sweden is expanding, with initiatives benefiting nearly 3,000 individuals. These include mentorship programs for young women and internships for newly arrived academics. Maria Signal-Martebo, CEO of Alstom in Sweden, stated her pride in the employees' impact and underscored collaboration with local ecosystems and innovation partners.
