Alstom, a global manufacturer of transportation systems, announced on July 22, 2026, that its sales for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026/27 increased by 4.9% to €4.73 billion compared to the same period last year. Organic sales grew by 4.8%.
In contrast, new orders received during the quarter significantly decreased by 37% to €2.56 billion, down from €4.075 billion in the prior year's first quarter. The company is continuing to drive its new platforms through their industrialization phase.
Alstom confirmed its outlook for the full fiscal year 2026/27. Commercial highlights for the quarter included a locomotive order in the Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia region, as well as strong momentum in Services, particularly in Sweden and India. Signalling orders were also robust, notably including contracts with Egyptian National Railways for signaling modernization.
