Alstom to maintain TGV power-module cooling units for SNCF
Alstom has signed a three-year master agreement with SNCF, the French national railway company, for the maintenance of cooling units in TGV train power modules.
Alstom, a rail transport manufacturer, has secured a master agreement with SNCF, France's national railway company, to maintain the cooling units within TGV high-speed train power modules. The contract covers TGV Atlantique, TGV Réseau, Thalys PBKA, and TGV Duplex train types.
The agreement is set for an initial term of three years, with an option to extend for an additional two years. Over a potential five-year period, Alstom's facility in Tarbes, France, is slated to service approximately 4,000 cooling units. These units are a critical part of the TGV's traction chain, experiencing significant stress during operation.
Regular maintenance of these essential components is designed to ensure high train availability and reliable operational performance. Alstom's transport sector provides a broad range of products and services to the railway industry, including rolling stock, signaling, infrastructure, and maintenance services.
