Alstom's French operations supported over 36,000 jobs, generated €2 billion value

Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has released its France Impact Report for the 2025/2026 fiscal year. The report quantifies the company's contribution to employment, the value chain, environmental transition, skills development, and local communities in France.

The report indicates that Alstom's operations in France supported over 36,000 jobs during the 2025/2026 period. This figure includes more than 14,000 direct jobs, 16,000 indirect jobs, and nearly 6,000 induced jobs. The company's economic contribution to France was valued at over 2 billion euros.

Alstom also highlighted its commitment to environmental responsibility, stating that 100 percent of new solutions developed in France are eco-designed. This approach considers factors such as energy consumption, material usage, maintenance, and the end-of-life cycle of trains.

Furthermore, Alstom received the 'Exemplary' level recognition from AFNOR for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, the highest distinction within the 'Engagé' CSR label framework based on the ISO 26000 standard.

With 14 sites across nine French regions, Alstom aims to foster a broad industrial ecosystem, encompassing employees, suppliers, academic partners, and local authorities, while promoting local industry and skills transfer.
