Alstom's order backlog exceeds €100bn after record third-quarter orders

Mobility solutions provider Alstom announced that its order backlog exceeded €100.3 billion as of December 31, 2025, driven by a record third-quarter order intake of €9.6 billion. This represents a significant increase compared to the same period last fiscal year.
Sales for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025/26 reached €4.8 billion, marking a 2.6% reported increase. Organically, excluding currency effects, sales grew by 5.9%. The company's 9-month order intake reached €20.0 billion, with sales totaling €13.9 billion.
Key contract wins during the quarter included new Paris metro trains and metro and signalling systems in India. Alstom's CEO, Henri Poupart-Lafarge, stated that these achievements demonstrate the company's ability to deliver complex projects across regions and keep Alstom on track to meet its full-year guidance.
The company confirmed its outlook for the full fiscal year 2025/26 and its medium-term ambitions. For the first nine months of the fiscal year, order intake was €20.0 billion, and sales were €13.9 billion.
