ALTA Good Deeds Foundation Awards $10,000 Grant to Wildland Firefighter Families

The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, a charitable organization founded by the American Land Title Association (ALTA), has provided a $10,000 emergency grant to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. The funds are designated for families of wildland firefighters who have been injured or lost their lives while on duty.

The grant follows a period of extensive wildfires impacting communities across several states and recent tragedies, including the loss of three firefighters. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation offers financial aid and other resources to affected families nationwide.

"Wildland firefighters put themselves in harm's way to protect lives, homes and communities," said Steve Day, board chair of the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation. "In the wake of this recent tragedy and during a challenging wildfire season, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation is honored to support the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and the families who rely on its critical assistance."

Since its establishment in 2020, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has granted $1.5 million to non-profit organizations across 47 states and the District of Columbia. These grants have supported initiatives focused on strengthening families, promoting housing stability, and enhancing communities.
