Alvarez & Marsal Adds Maggie Koziol to Enhance Education and Workforce Development Expertise
Alvarez & Marsal has appointed Maggie Koziol as a Senior Director to bolster its capabilities in education and workforce development. The hire aims to assist school systems in addressing operational and financial challenges.

Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has appointed Maggie Koziol as a Senior Director in its Public Sector Services practice. Koziol joins A&M from Deloitte, where she established and led the firm's education and workforce development unit.
The appointment signals A&M's commitment to the education sector. Koziol's expertise in CSR and ESG programs will help clients develop economic-based solutions for equitable outcomes, particularly for underserved populations. She will focus on equipping school administrators and policymakers with tools and analysis to advance student success and build pathways to employment.
Koziol brings 20 years of experience, including program design and evaluation leadership roles at the World Bank and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Her work has focused on translating insights into practical implementation to improve student outcomes and their transition into the workforce, aligning with A&M's focus on operational improvements and efficiency.
"Maggie's expertise will be critical in helping guide school administrators to better connect the dots between education and workforce development," said Erin Covington, a Managing Director at A&M leading the Education Services practice. Covington added that Koziol is "uniquely positioned to apply a fiscal lens towards helping school systems become more operationally effective and accountable."
Koziol's hiring follows A&M's previous work with school systems in New Orleans, New York City, and St. Louis, where the firm assisted administrators with financial, operational, and technical improvements to align resources with student needs.
