Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has appointed Val Philippe as a Managing Director within its Global Transaction Advisory Group (Global TAG) in New York. This move continues the firm's expansion in the financial services sector, responding to increased demand for integrated transaction and operational advisory services from private equity sponsors and strategic investors.
Philippe will serve as U.S. Co-Leader for Global TAG’s Financial Services industry group. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services transactions, with expertise spanning asset management, specialty finance, banking, payments, fintech, and insurance. He joins A&M from Reverence Capital, where he held a senior operating role.
Prior to Reverence Capital, Philippe spent 16 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), most recently as a partner in the firm’s Financial Services Deals practice. In that role, he advised clients on complex transactions and due diligence matters.
A&M stated that Philippe's appointment strengthens the firm’s ability to guide clients through complexity and help them seize market opportunities. The hire aligns with A&M's strategy to bolster its sector expertise and meet growing client needs in the financial services industry.
