Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has appointed Kunwar Vijayant Singh and Ranajit Sahu as managing directors within its Indian operations. The firm aims to strengthen its leadership bench to support clients in the energy, resources, and metals and mining sectors.

Kunwar Vijayant Singh joins from McKinsey & Company, where he served as a partner specializing in digital transformation and operational strategy. Based in Delhi, Singh will co-lead A&M's energy and resources practice alongside Vivek Kamra. His background spans two decades of consulting work in chemical, automotive, and heavy engineering industries.

Ranajit Sahu, formerly the lead for Accenture Strategy’s metals and mining practice in India, will be based in Bengaluru. His expertise includes capital project management and EBITDA improvement, with a recent focus on large-scale digitalization projects for the mining sector.

These appointments occur as India’s industrial sector undergoes rapid changes driven by technological integration and global competitiveness. A&M stated that the new leadership will assist local businesses in navigating operational complexities and strategy formulation. The firm is positioning itself to provide end-to-end support for companies facing large-scale transformation needs.
