New York/London – May 5, 2026 – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced new initiatives to expand its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The firm has established a Global AI Board and appointed new leadership roles to accelerate the integration of AI into client service delivery and drive measurable outcomes.
Antonio Alvarez III (A3), a Managing Director with extensive experience in developing A&M’s European operations, will chair the Global AI Board. The Board also includes Chief AI & Knowledge Officer Malka Katzin, who joined A&M from Boston Consulting Group where she led internal generative AI transformation, and Chief Operating Officer Steve Wallace. Their mandate is to coordinate A&M’s firm-wide approach to embedding AI into client engagements and internal operations.
A&M emphasizes a shift from AI adoption to execution, combining operational expertise with AI to accelerate performance for clients. The firm reports attracting senior AI practitioners from leading consulting and technology companies, drawn to A&M's "operator-led" model focused on delivering tangible results. Steve Wallace indicated that AI is projected to constitute 50% of A&M's services within three years, with AI-related revenues already approaching 20% in Europe.
"At A&M, we are applying AI with the same pragmatism and discipline we bring to everything we do, both for clients as well as for ourselves," said Alvarez III. "For us, it is about using AI in real environments, combined with our operational expertise to drive lasting competitive advantage for our clients." Katzin added, "AI is breaking the traditional consulting model – and we are built for what comes next."
The firm is actively delivering AI-enabled transformation programs across various industries. These initiatives involve enterprise-wide AI deployments, operating model redesigns, and process transformations aimed at improving both cost efficiency and revenue growth, reinforcing A&M's position in the evolving professional services landscape.
