New York – Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a global professional services firm, has appointed Eduardo Schur as Managing Director and Leader of its Life Sciences Strategic Business Unit. Based in Los Angeles, Schur will spearhead A&M's expansion in the sector, aiming to enhance support for companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
A&M anticipates significant growth within the life sciences sector and is increasing its investments to meet rising demand. Under Schur's leadership, the firm plans to broaden its offerings to include clinical development, product and portfolio planning, customer engagement, and market access, pricing, and reimbursement services. A&M will also provide strategic insights and develop solutions for biotech and specialty pharmaceutical companies navigating the path from clinic to market.
Schur joins A&M from EY, where he served as a Partner and led the life sciences commercial and R&D practice for the Americas. Previously, he was a Partner at Guidehouse and held executive roles at Johnson & Johnson and Bristol Myers Squibb. He brings over two decades of experience in strategy, product planning, commercialization, due diligence, and market access across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors.
