Professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has expanded its restructuring and advisory capabilities in Ireland with the appointment of Kate Magee as a Senior Director in Dublin. This move signifies the firm's commitment to growing its presence in the Irish market and addressing the increasing demand for specialized expertise in financial distress and turnaround situations.
Magee brings over 15 years of experience in corporate recovery, forensic accounting, and formal restructuring processes. Prior to joining A&M, she held a position at Grant Thornton where she specialized in managing complex examinerships, receiverships, and advisory mandates across various sectors, including retail, pharmaceuticals, construction, and financial services.
In her new capacity, Magee will collaborate with Brendan Hanratty, Managing Director and Head of Restructuring for A&M Ireland. Their focus will be on providing independent, hands-on expertise to Irish corporations, lenders, and stakeholders navigating financial challenges and distress.
