Alvarez & Marsal has launched a new generative AI platform, A&M DiligenceGPT, to enhance and expedite due diligence processes for private equity firms.
Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has introduced A&M DiligenceGPT, a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) platform aimed at providing private equity (PE) practitioners with more efficient and timely insights. The tool is designed to accelerate the complex due diligence process that underpins investment decisions.
Developed by A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) group, DiligenceGPT utilizes the firm's proprietary "Private Equity Chain of Thought" framework. This framework is engineered to mimic the inquiries and analytical approaches typically employed by PE professionals when evaluating potential investments and assessing their impact on existing portfolios.
The platform is built to speed up diligence by analyzing vast amounts of documentation. It assists PE practitioners in rapidly assessing target companies, compiling necessary materials, and formulating initial investment theses. This launch reflects A&M's strategy to generate deeper insights within the PE ecosystem during a period of economic uncertainty and intense competition.
