Alvarez & Marsal Publishes AI Ethics Framework Guidance
Alvarez & Marsal has released the second part of its AI ethics series, offering best practices for developing and implementing responsible AI programs.

Management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has released a detailed guide on constructing ethical frameworks for artificial intelligence (AI). The second installment in their series provides practical advice for organizations aiming to integrate AI ethics into their operations.
The publication addresses the ongoing challenges in establishing ethical AI frameworks across both public and private sectors, highlighting difficulties in defining requirements and implementing effective measures. Alvarez & Marsal presents a structured approach based on the four core functions of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF): Map, Measure, Manage, and Govern.
The framework also incorporates essential components, including defining clear objectives, establishing controls and metrics, and implementing regular revisions. Furthermore, the guidance outlines seven key controls crucial for ensuring AI system trustworthiness. These controls cover attribution, security, consent, legality, equity, transparency, and bias mitigation.
Alvarez & Marsal emphasizes that a comprehensive AI ethics framework can enable organizations to build reliable AI systems, foster trust, and ensure the responsible deployment of AI technologies. This is vital for long-term success and societal benefit.
