Alvotech and JAMP Pharma Expand Biosimilar Distribution Agreement in Canada
Alvotech and JAMP Pharma have added two biosimilar candidates for immunology and oncology to their existing commercialization partnership in Canada.

Alvotech and JAMP Pharma Group have expanded their exclusive partnership to include two additional biosimilar candidates: AVT16, targeting an immunology indication, and AVT33, designed for oncology treatment. The move aims to increase the availability of lower-cost biologic alternatives within the Canadian healthcare system.
Under the terms of the agreement, Alvotech will oversee the development and manufacturing process, while JAMP Pharma will handle commercialization and distribution. JAMP Pharma is entitled to exclusive rights to these candidates in Canada, providing compensation through milestone payments and royalties on future sales. The company plans to leverage its existing BIOJAMP and JAMP Care platforms to support the market entry of these products.
This expansion builds upon the partners’ existing relationship, which saw the earlier Canadian launch of Simlandi, a high-concentration biosimilar of adalimumab. The Canadian biosimilar market has seen increased activity as companies look to provide more cost-effective options for specialized patient care.
