Amadeus Acquires Hotel SystemsPro to Expand Hotel Offerings

Amadeus IT Group, a travel technology provider, has acquired Hotel SystemsPro, a company that offers enterprise and property solutions to over 4,500 hotels in North America and beyond.

The acquisition will see Hotel SystemsPro integrated into Newmarket, an Amadeus company. This move is expected to broaden Amadeus' product portfolio and generate new business opportunities within Hotel SystemsPro's existing customer base. The deal forms part of Amadeus' broader strategy to deliver end-to-end IT solutions for hotels.

Hotel SystemsPro focuses particularly on mid-tier properties, providing high-performance, ASP-based (Application Service Provider) solutions for sales and event management.

Amadeus stated that the hotel sales and catering sector presents significant potential. Group and event business typically accounts for 10% to 50% of hotel revenues. The expanded offering aims to increase value for customers by better leveraging this market.
