Amadeus Acquires Property Management System Provider Itesso
Amadeus IT Group has acquired Itesso BV, a Dutch provider of cloud-based property management systems. The acquisition expands Amadeus' IT offerings for the hotel industry.
Amadeus IT Group, a provider of IT solutions for the travel industry, has acquired Itesso BV, a Netherlands-based company specializing in cloud-native property management systems (PMS).
The acquisition is part of Amadeus' strategy to consolidate key hotel technology components, such as central reservation systems and property management, into a unified, guest-centric platform. This aims to provide hotels and chains with a single view of guests and business operations.
Itesso's approximately 100 employees, including its management team, are expected to join Amadeus, bringing over 20 years of experience in hotel property management. This move follows Amadeus' previous acquisition of Newmarket in 2013 and its agreement to collaborate with InterContinental Hotel Group on a next-generation guest reservation system.
The integration of Itesso's PMS capabilities is intended to strengthen Amadeus' position as a comprehensive technology partner for the hotel sector, offering a broader suite of integrated solutions.
