Amadeus and AXA Partners have signed an agreement to integrate insurance and healthcare assistance services into Amadeus' corporate travel and expense management platform.
Travel technology company Amadeus has partnered with insurance provider AXA Partners to offer enhanced insurance and healthcare assistance for corporate travelers. The collaboration integrates AXA Partners' medical and assistance solutions directly into the Amadeus cytric Travel & Expense platform, with an initial rollout across Europe.
The partnership aims to provide a comprehensive offering for business trips, covering the entire travel journey. Amadeus will manage the travel planning, booking, on-trip services, and expense management, while AXA Partners will provide tailored healthcare services, including global medical assistance, risk management during travel, and travel insurance.
A key feature of the agreement is a pay-per-use commercial model, where companies are billed for insurance and assistance services only when their employees actually travel. This model is designed to offer flexibility and cost-effectiveness for corporate travel programs.
This initiative addresses the growing corporate focus on employee duty of care and risk assessment, particularly in the current travel climate. By combining Amadeus' technology platform with AXA Partners' specialized services, the companies aim to provide business travelers with greater security and peace of mind, while enabling corporations to manage costs and operational efficiency.
