Amadeus and NVIDIA partner to optimize flight search infrastructure
Amadeus and NVIDIA have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore how accelerated computing and AI can enhance the performance and scalability of global flight search systems.
Travel technology firm Amadeus and computing specialist NVIDIA are collaborating to address the growing technical demands of AI-driven travel search. The partnership follows initial benchmarking on NVIDIA’s Hopper and Blackwell platforms, which demonstrated potential for improving response times and handling high-volume search queries.
The collaboration centers on three primary objectives: utilizing GPU acceleration to optimize flight search calculations, developing travel-specific foundation models, and improving cloud infrastructure efficiency. By offloading complex search calculations to GPUs, Amadeus aims to maintain search speed and accuracy as automated travel assistants increase the volume of inquiries.
As AI agents become more prevalent, the industry faces pressure to maintain reliable booking systems under heavier traffic. Amadeus stated the partnership aims to ensure its infrastructure remains scalable for future travel shopping needs while preserving the integrity of search results for travel providers and sellers.
