Amadeus and Theta Automate Business Travel and Finance Data Integration

Amadeus IT Group, in partnership with technology firm Theta, has announced a new approach to streamline the connection between business travel data and enterprise financial systems. This development aims to tackle the common issue of fragmented data, which often leads to manual processes and potential inaccuracies within large organizations.

For years, companies have grappled with integrating vast amounts of travel data, including bookings, expenses, and traveler profiles, into their financial platforms. The traditional methods have frequently involved manual data re-entry, reliance on spreadsheets, and time-consuming reconciliation, ultimately hindering financial visibility and increasing the risk of errors.

The solution, known as "TravelStream" and developed by Theta, focuses on automating the entire data flow from booking to financial systems. It collects travel data at the point of transaction, standardizes it according to company financial rules, and transmits it directly, according to Amadeus. The system is designed to be cloud-native, modular, and scalable to accommodate diverse company needs and integrate with various financial platforms.
