Amadeus IT Group has finalized the $1.52 billion cash acquisition of TravelClick. The transaction expands Amadeus' presence in the hospitality technology sector.

Amadeus IT Group announced today the completion of its $1.52 billion cash acquisition of TravelClick from Thoma Bravo. This move significantly enhances Amadeus' footprint within the hospitality industry, particularly serving mid-size hotel chains and independent hotels worldwide.
The acquisition brings approximately 1,100 TravelClick employees into the Amadeus organization. Luis Maroto, President and CEO of Amadeus, stated that the addition of TravelClick broadens the company's product portfolio, expertise, and global reach in the hotel sector.
TravelClick's operations will be integrated into Amadeus' Hospitality customer unit, led by Francisco Pérez-Lozao. Initially, TravelClick will operate as a distinct entity under the Amadeus brand, known as 'TravelClick, an Amadeus company.' Pérez-Lozao highlighted the potential to unify disparate hotel systems and provide a single view of the guest.
Headquartered in New York City, TravelClick is described as a leading global provider for the hospitality industry, serving over 25,000 customers in 176 countries. Its cloud-based solutions include Central Reservation Systems (CRS) and Guest Management Solutions (GMS), alongside business intelligence and media offerings. The acquisition has received all necessary regulatory approvals.
