Amadeus consolidates travel content on single platform
Amadeus has revamped its distribution platform to integrate content from airlines, hotels, and other travel services into one location. The goal is to provide travel sellers with a comprehensive content inventory and enhance the traveler experience.

Travel technology provider Amadeus has evolved its distribution platform to consolidate content from flights, hotels, rail, and ground transport into a single, centralized location. The Amadeus Travel Platform aims to streamline content acquisition for travel sellers and improve the overall traveler experience.
The platform seeks to offer travel industry players, such as travel agencies and corporations, access to an extensive inventory of travel options. This includes embracing NDC (New Distribution Capability) connectivity utilized by airlines, while acknowledging that traditional EDIFACT content will remain significant for several years.
Amadeus's platform provides access to data from over 440 airlines, 770,000 hotel properties, 90 rail operators, and 43 car rental companies. It integrates content from diverse sources, normalizing it for usability by travel agencies. The company highlights its commitment to research and development, including investments in AI and machine learning, to continually enhance the platform's capabilities and deliver personalized travel experiences.
