Amadeus IT Group Reports Strong Growth for First Nine Months
Amadeus IT Group has reported a strong financial performance for the first nine months of the year, driven by solid results in its Distribution and IT Solutions segments and the consolidation of TravelClick.
Amadeus IT Group S.A. posted a robust financial evolution for the first nine months of the year, with revenue growing 15.0% to €4,236.6 million. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) increased by 11.1% to €1,763.8 million.
The company's performance was supported by the solid operating results of its Distribution and IT Solutions businesses, the consolidation of the TravelClick acquisition since October 4, 2018, and positive foreign exchange effects. Adjusted profit rose 11.9% to €992.5 million compared to the same period in 2018.
In the Distribution segment, air travel agency bookings increased by 0.5% to 447.0 million. The IT Solutions segment saw a 7.1% expansion in passengers boarded, reaching 1,496.6 million. CEO Luis Maroto highlighted the effectiveness of the company's diversification strategy and business resilience.
