Amadeus IT issues guide on processing queues
Amadeus IT has released a technical tip illustrating how travel industry professionals can display and process automated queues within passenger booking records.

Amadeus IT, a global technology provider for the travel industry, has issued an updated technical guidance to help users of its system efficiently manage automated queues for bookings and messages.
The release aims to assist airlines, travel agents, and other service providers in streamlining their workflows. The Amadeus Queues feature allows for the sending and receiving of messages and Passenger Name Records (PNRs) that require further action.
The guidance outlines several commands for visualizing and processing these queues. Users can, for example, display active queues by entering 'QT.' To begin processing a specific queue, the command 'QS[queue number]C[category number]' is used, which opens the first booking or message in that queue for handling.
Further instructions detail commands for re-queuing an item to the bottom (QD), removing it from the queue (QN), exiting the queue without saving changes (QI), or completing a transaction on the PNR and exiting the queue (QF and QFR).
These tools are intended to streamline daily operations in air transportation and travel services, reducing wait times and enhancing process efficiency.
