Amadeus launches new API with NDC capabilities
Amadeus IT Group has released an updated version of its Amadeus Travel API, incorporating New Distribution Capability (NDC) functionality. This enhanced API provides travel agencies with access to a wider range of airline content and fares.

Amadeus IT Group announced the launch of an enhanced version of its Amadeus Travel API, now equipped with New Distribution Capability (NDC) connectivity. This update aims to provide travel agencies worldwide with access to a broader spectrum of airline content and fares directly from carriers.
The new API enables airlines to better differentiate their offerings and allows travel agencies to access a more extensive content library and advanced functionalities. Early adopters of the solution include notable industry players such as AERTiCKET, American Express Global Business Travel, BCD Travel, House of Travel, and TUI.
Amadeus positions NDC as a key component of its Amadeus Travel Platform, which consolidates travel content from multiple sources. The new API is designed to streamline shopping, ordering, and payment processes, facilitate cross-selling of ancillary services and branded fares, and improve change and cancellation capabilities.
The company developed the solution in close collaboration with industry partners and has previously announced various NDC initiatives and collaborations with leading airlines like Qantas and Finnair. Amadeus also plans to introduce an NDC-enabled version of its Amadeus Selling Platform Connect solution in the future.
