Amadeus launches tool to aid event planning and travel coordination

Amadeus IT Group has launched a new tool called Event Manager, integrated within its Cytric Easy corporate travel management service. The feature is designed to streamline the planning of corporate events and the coordination of attendee travel.

Event Manager aims to provide a collaborative platform for event organizers and participants, offering real-time information such as travel recommendations and event agendas. It facilitates the creation of dedicated channels within Microsoft Teams, centralizing all event-related data, including attendee flight details, accommodation, and transfers.

The tool is intended to enhance event management and support companies' duty of care responsibilities by allowing organizers to track attendee locations and respond to disruptions. It also simplifies the coordination of logistical aspects, such as airport transfers, and enables easier information sharing among participants.

Further capabilities include setting up private channels for sensitive information like budgets and integrating with other Microsoft tools, such as Forms, for data collection like dietary requirements. Cytric Easy was initially launched by Amadeus in partnership with Microsoft, functioning as an online booking and expense management tool embedded within Microsoft 365.
