Amadeus opens Pride Cafe to support LGBTQIA+ community in India
Travel technology company Amadeus has launched the Pride Cafe initiative in Bengaluru, India, aiming to provide employment opportunities for the local LGBTQIA+ community.

Amadeus IT Group has established the Pride Cafe, a culinary initiative in Bengaluru, India, designed to create livelihood opportunities for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The project features two mobile food trucks and a central kitchen operated by a 16-member team from the community.
The company stated that the initiative seeks to empower the LGBTQIA+ community by offering employment and professional development. Amadeus has provided operational support and vocational training in areas such as culinary skills, customer service, and financial literacy to the team members.
The mobile cafes, decorated by the Aravani Art Project, are located at WeWork Galaxy on Residency Road in Bengaluru, serving a range of food and beverages. This project aims to foster inclusion and reduce social exclusion faced by the community.
Amadeus highlighted that the Pride Cafe represents a step towards greater acceptance of LGBTQIA+ rights in India. The company has a broader commitment to diversity and inclusion, reflected in its employee resource groups and consistent recognition on external diversity rankings.
